Can you recommend me shounen where they use strategy instead of powering up to defeat villains?

I'm getting a bit tired of shounen where the MC just becomes stronger and stronger and gains new powers every arc. I'm looking for something like early seasons of Jojo's where they defeated the villains through strategy instead of newer seasons where the MC just powers up like in other shounen. Of course I know its probably impossible to have an anime with zero power creep or powerups, but I want something with as little of it as possible, something where they mainly use strategy to defeat villains that initially seem too powerful. It doesn't necessarily need to be a shounen, I also like sports anime.
