The beauty of „March comes in like a lion“.

First off, whoever recommend this anime to me on this subreddit; thank you. This anime was a wild ride, truly. It's hard to directly point at what this anime does expertly, but the closest thing I can point at is Rei's character development.

I wanted to learn a bit more about the anime before watching it, so I asked a bunch of people I know that have watched it. Some said it was boring, or that it was overrated; but I think it's a emotional masterpiece.

I love how shogi and Rei's personality go hand in hand. It's like he himself is one of the pieces on a shogi board and he's slowly but surely moving himself to win, to succeed in his life.

One of the other major positives of this series are the side characters. Rei's interactions with the 3 sisters and the rest of the family are incredibly wholesome, and I love how the series goes in depth with each of the characters; specifically Akari and Hina. I've only seen a few select anime series do that, but I think this series does it in some of the best ways.

I feel like some of the main parts I wish the series delved more in to were his adoptive family's situation. I also feel like they sort of abandoned the Goto and Rei possible match? Even more so, what happened between Rei and Kyouko? Why wasn't there any more clarity on them after season 1?

Some of my main questions though if anyone knows, how does the title of the anime relate to the story (if at all)? Also, will there ever be a season 3, or was season 2 the ending for the source material?
