Anime where the main character slowly becomes more of an anti-hero or loses sanity?
I’m looking for anime where the main character gradually changes over the course of the story and ends up more in anti-hero territory.
Not someone who starts out evil, but a character who goes through enough that their mindset starts to shift. I like when you can see the change happen over time, where they become more ruthless or they lose their sanity because of everything they’ve experienced/experiencing.
Stories where the character’s situation just keeps getting worse and you can see it affecting them mentally are especially interesting to me. The kind of arc where they start with decent intentions but end up somewhere much darker.
If anyone has recommendations with that kind of character development, I’d love to check them out.
PS: If possible, I also like moments where the character completely snaps or has some insane rage scenes.
